The National University of Mongolia, Institute for Mongolian Studies and Department of Linguistics, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is delighted to announce that we will host the 16th Workshop on Altaic Formal Linguistics.
Dates: September 24, 25, 26 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday), 2020
The invited speakers so far are:

Norvin Richards, MIT
Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks (plus 10-minute discussions) and for posters on topics dealing with formal aspects of any area of theoretical Altaic linguistics, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, or pragmatics. The term 'Altaic' is understood to include Turkic, Mongolic, and Tungusic languages, as well as Korean, Japanese, Ryukyuan, and Ainu.
Deadline for abstracts: The deadline has been extended to May 1 given the difficult situation right now. Please stay safe.
Abstracts will be accepted starting November 30, 2019
Notification: June 1, 2020
We will try to have some inexpensive housing for students.
We will also plan cultural activities following the conference.
